Is it actually different to the touch compared to unaffected areas? Looks like a chemical ate through it or something. Definitrly would not have installed it that way, good luck with your refund.

It looks like something leaked onto it, though I am probably stating the obvious. Did you speak on the phone or via email?
EDIT: Did the box have waterstains/stains on it? |
