Okay so the transmission is out, my clutch fork where it's clipped to the pivot ball half way up, was not at all attached. I really don't think this is the knocking but it looks like the release bearing was riding the pressure plate, even though it wasn't putting pressure on it and the clutch was engaging and disengaging fine, it is super grimy and only moving on the shaft the exact width of the bearing.

Also I listened with a screw driver and the sound was the loudest right beside the bel housing. It could easily have been echoing from the crank but now I'm stuck on what to think.

Would I be able to crank the motor by hand and listen for a knock? It's pouring rain so I'm inside brainstorming

That's an interesting idea. You might hear something if, at the 90-degree position you jiggle the crank back and forth.

Never tried it.

I started the motor without the transmission on it, bolted the starter to the motor with washers and bolts. Still knocks :/ new motor time.

Dude I told you what it was in post #4 and the sam thing was said by several. Pull the engine apart. My bet you find silicone blocking the oil still stands.

Oh and the video is great.
