Front offset is typically higher than the rear. Or they can be the same offset with staggered width. Or they could be the same offset and width.

Those wheels will "fit". Just depends how aggressive you want to get. Aggressive being how far you want the wheels to poke outward.

The first selection(s) in the link provided are the most aggressive fitment.
(+35/+15 or +35/+ 28)
While the lower selection in the link provided is the most conservative fitment.
(+48/+38)

The more aggressive the fitment the more negative camber, roll or pull you may need to avoid contact with the fender(s).

So what would you recommend?
I want to lower it about 1.25 - 1.5 inches.
When it comes to wheels, I know know nothing.
I just don't want anything to scrape. And the websit doesn't have the FR-S on it so I don't know what to do.

With all due respect i recommend you study and make your own decisions. In regards to both wheel fitment and suspension geometry and how lowering too much can hurt performance.

It's all a personal preference. I will not tell you what to get.

If all you read above was blah blah blah then consider +48/+38 and play it conservative.

Peace.

Would the stock tires mount on 17x8?

Without any problems?

The answer is yes but a better question would be why?

A 17x8 rim is clearly not your winter rim choice - why reuse the cheap OEM rubber on a Summer/Performance rim?

Personally I would just save up to put on some proper tires as they WILL positively affect the driving experience in almost every way. Better acceleration, grip through corners and braking are all advanced with a good rubber choice.

One reason is because he used his stock rims for winters and his OEMs have plenty of tread left and he's planning on getting 17x8s anyway. He can mount these while he saves up for better 235-40s.

Not a big market out there for these used tires so the best way to save up is to use them.

Why sell good rubber for dirt cheap when you can burn them up yourself. I'm gonna swap them onto my 17x8s when I get them powdercoated

I put the OE 215/45/17 on a 17x8. They worked exactly as planned. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20489

Will this work? Need feedback.

Hello i recently saw a great deal on some:
Volk Racing Ce28n Time Attacks 18x8.5 +52 offset
I was wondering if it would fit my ride with either a
(Project Kics 15mm P.C.D. Conversion Spacer - 5x100 to 5x114.3) or the (Project Kics 10mm P.C.D. Conversion Spacer - 5x100 to 5x114.3)
I have eibach 1 inch lowing springs, so thats something to take into mind also. So will it fit? i need someone with experince on this subject of offsets and spacers.

Audi TT Steelies

Hi folks, I have to get winters tires stat since my star specs are bald. A local guy has a set of 16" steelies off of a 2001 Audi TT Quattro with 205/55/16 Dunlop Winter Sport M3s on them (2 seasons old.) What would it take to make them fit? Is the hub bore going to be an issue or do I just need rings?
