There is only one manufacturer of the unit and Innovate hasn't released the units to anyone yet. Tuners don't have the resources to offer a homemade version that will turn a profit. It should be out here very soon. Likely Innovate is conducting a lot of testing and documenting the install guide. Innovate is a quality company who protects themselves legally so that stuff takes time. It's a lot harder to bring something to market when you're offering it that way. Not sure who is manufacturing the kit but I'm sure Innovate has an exclusive agreement with them.

You can always import a cusco kit but you will have to deal with cusco japan to service it or warrantee it.

- Australia (Bullet) - US (Innovate) - Japan (Cusco) Now there are some re-sellers who might take something from one of those markets and sell it in another. I'd recommend just waiting for Innovate to finish their work on the intercooler. Chances are it will be a 100% solution. The other stuff might work/might require modification. It's the rub of tuning a new platform. I wouldn't expect a ton of drastic results from the intercooler. It's more a safety measure to control IATs. There isn't any real data published yet on the pre and post compressor temps and the delta with added boost. From the sounds of it we should see more this month.

I just hope the IC'ed version is still CARB legal. Otherwise that would be a deal breaker for me. And the fact I haven't heard much about it at all worries me as well.
I also think they sized the blower a little small, this kit is so close to being perfect. Honestly though with an IC and CARB this would be an almost insta buy from me and I think it would definitely be capable of 300whp which is my goal for the car.. |

. But I'm patient and won't be buying a kit for quite a while anyways so I'm not too bothered by it. The main appeal of an IC for me is the stability in the hot heat - I've heard a lot of rough things about hot heat and these cars ECU pulling timing and whatnot. With 91 cali piss an IC is almost required for me.

sounds like the IC is able to be removed/reinstalled, you could always have it uninstalled for smog, no? it's not a terribly visible part from what i can see. i doubt it would raise any eyebrows for a roadside traffic / hood pop stop, would it?

CHP are looking for blingy blow off valves/wastegates, shiny aluminum intercooler piping, braided N2O lines, and multicolor anodized fuel/oil lines etc. Been there done that unfortunately. Learned that if you put OEM looking parts on the car they don't notice.

75 mm: 8.5 70 mm: 11.5 Before the header I was seeing: 75 mm: 9.5 So I recon (but have not confirmed) figure 12 - 12.5 if you don't have a free flowing header/exhaust

On the emissions topic, is there a rough ETA for CARB approval on the non-IC kit?

Definitively I'm not getting it. If the non ic version is CARB certified wouldn't the ic version with the same tuning be certified? Wouldn't the cooler intake just be better for emission?
