You can see the dyno plots in the Phantom thread.
Shiv's testing says 225 WHP and 200 Lbs of torque.
But it doesn't really FEEL like it because it is so smooth. It feels just like a rotary engine.

So that instead of whacking against it, it slows down and gently bumps against it.
Does this show any kind of performance benefit or is it just a better "feel" ? Like, am I going to lose any less time at an autox if I bounce off the soft limiter vs stock?

I will go back to the thread and do some poking around. Thank you. I am glad its smooth. I have had several breakneck cars in my past, to include a 400+hp BRZ that got destroyed unfortunately. However, with this build I am looking to keep things much more balanced. I am past my need to have crazy power, well at least on this vehicle anyways. I appreciate you sharing your info.

I just ordered this today and have a few questions.
When loading a new MAP is the new rev-limiter loaded automatically also?
Can the rev-limiter rpm be changed?
Can the radiator fan on temp be changed?

So pumped for the new e85 maps today. Any rough estimates on the whp gains from the new maps @Shiv@Openflash?

I know you asked this of Shiv, but I'll jump in for him so he can concentrate on getting the V2.0 maps loaded on their website!

The stock tune runs fairly aggressive timing all the way up to the 7450 RPM rev-limit, so your engine is still trying to make some decent power until you hit the limit and have to wait for the 350 RPM drop to 7100.

As Shiv explained earlier, the OFT tunes still run a decent amount of timing up to 7450 RPMs, but the rev-limiter is expanded to 7600 RPMs and the ignition timing ramps down nicely between 7450 and 7600. The OFT tunes will still get great performance up to 7450 RPMs like the stock tune, but you'll get a gentle decrease in timing after 7450 RPMs as you approach the 7600 limit.

It's definitely way better than stock and will be faster on the AutoX course since you will have a higher top-speed per gear and will be bouncing between 7550 and 7600 RPMs as opposed to 7100 and 7450 RPMs.

For those not yet running the tune, the rev limit is nice but what is really improved as mentioned above is what happens when you hit the limiter.

When stock, as you hit the limiter you get an immediate deceleration, like hitting a wall or a touch of the brakes.

With the OFT limiter I would describe it as "soft" as it just hangs there waiting for you to grab the next gear.

This is a big improvement at the track especially when you're always trying to shift at redline for max speed.

All the OFT tunes will have the new rev-limiter that's been described in recent posts, so you will automatically have it once you flash one of the OFT tunes on your car.

You can change the rev-limiter RPM and radiator fan activation temps, but you will need to download and configure RomRaider on your PC to handle that. Once you've done that in RomRaider, then you can copy your edited tune files to your OFT and flash it onto your car.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but will the OFT automatically download the new maps when connected to OpenFlash Manager v.1.10 or do you have to manually download them?
