What's funny to me, is that they act like the disdain for MS new concept of gaming is only in the confines of this forum. It's Industry wide! I guess these couple of people who actually still want an X1 are the smart ones and the rest of us (the industry) just don't get it.

Well, they are so far down the rabbit hole, that if they changed opinion... it would infer them admitting they're wrong. People naturally don't enjoy doing that. So they continually try to keep justifying their opinion.

I still can't get over the whole sharing-my-game-with-ten-people-but-can't-loan-a-game-to-a-friend thing. Or that they honestly try to use the TV feature as an argument when it's nothing more than a passthrough HDMI signal and IR transmitting dongle. They act as if they'll be able to ditch the cable box LOL.

And... it's also a lot more powerful... by the time the consoles come out, cheaper and more powerful cards will be available.

I own a 360 right now but I will never buy a Xbox 1. You would have to be a major fanboy IMHO to stick with them. I don't want a Kinect but MS is forcing it on you. Also because of the Kinect the price is higher and the damn thing can act as a device to see what's going on in your household. Also the having internet connection every 24 hours thing is a nail in the coffin. Real gaming started with no internet!

Pfft, haha. You sir, know nothing about Xbox. First of all, you don't pay for an account. It's free. The part that costs money is to upgrade it to gold so you can play online and get all of the features. And I'm not talking about sharing the system. I'm saying if a household (like mine) has 2 or 3 Xbox's then now they can all be at a gold membership level and enjoy all of it's benefits without each having to pay for their own. Me and my brothers used to buy our own 12 month code's every year, now we just buy 1 and we all save money.

Nobody is saying that PC gaming is not better. Just saying that it costs 3-4 times as much as a "peasant" console to make it that way. Unless you can run Bioshock Infinite with every setting maxed out at 4096x2160 making 120fps on a $400 box. That would be pretty cool.

People are pretending that they actually care about the internet connection, so they gotta slam them left and right. All the while, I'm guessing all of them have had solid reliable internet for at least the past decade. I know I have. This is 2013. If you don't have an internet connection, then a $500 gaming console is the least of your concerns.

It doesn't help that Sony as a company is jumping on the troll wagon and just pissing all over Microsoft. Makes them look desperate and petty. Probably because, despite being an inferior machine, 360 crushed PS3 for most of the last generation. And still crushes it in North America by almost 2:1 today.

Sorry I didn't go into her account profile to confirm whether or not it was a m/f... That point was irrelevant. Moving on, PS online had NEVER been better than XBL as far as multiplayer and connectivity goes. You're stating opinions. FACT, XBL has dominated online gaming for the past 10+ years. Look up the statistics..

I don't think they're trolling. I think it's legit business competition and they are specifically targeting the things that the majority of consumers wanted addressed, albeit in a humorous way that seems to offend a certain camp. Business rivalry is hardly ever fair, and can tend to get somewhat heated.

I preordered my PS4 today since Best Buy finally got my Rewards stuff sorted out. Regardless which system everyone goes with I hope you all enjoy them.

You do realize you xbox is only capable of 1920 × 1080 @ 30 fps... so not even your "godly" console can do that for $500

You have to learn somehow don't you? I've never gone into her account either, I've just been around long enough to know.

Multiplayer wasn't something I needed to pay for before. As far as the Plus > Live, it was in reference to the amount of amenities you receive.
