A stock GT-R will probably still smoke a 400whp FRS. With basic upgrades and a tune it will eat it for breakfast all day. It is just an unfortunate reality.
Our car with 295whp is dead even with a "stage 2" (intake, turboback, tune) STI from a roll. |

this is more of a question of style. do you favor premature optimization for the sake of preventing possible damages IF the engine does fail? or, to put it better, is knowing that it's less likely to fail (though still entirely possible, built or not) and that this may save you money in the future worth the money it'll cost to build the motor? if so, build it, if not, you're better off validating the need before investing. it's personal preference.

I asked a question about whether or not an engine needs to be built or stock for boost. There is a correct answer, i'm certain you can't run 20psi on stock without it blowing up. I'm not retarded, i'm just completely unfamiliar with these subaru engines and don't know how strong they are. Everyone has to start learning somewhere. You can be a cock about it or you can just be helpful. Of course i'm sure you were never a noob and you were born knowing this so i guess that gives you a right to act like an asshat on the internet. |

Now I assume with the weight diffrence of the STI and Frs you could hold on with the 13"s which I could pull away from in the 458 I had a gtr 09 with an hks 570 kit which is considered crappy now but I do agree as soon as I mess around with a gtr it flies. Moral of the story is I really hate gtrs because I'm a supra fan boy

Damn I don't know how I missed that. Congrats on the pickup, and I look forward to your build.

IMO a turbo BRZ/FRS should be compared against - turbo S2K (which are really fast), turbo 240sx, WRX/STI, Evo (a lot of fast ones), Civic SI, Mazda I also think it sucks we are so limited in the power that can be made on pump gas, with the stock engine, because of the high compression ratio. I would love to do some pistons and rods are see what 20psi on pump does. E85 is a hassle. Adam Last edited by No Limit Motorsport; 06-07-2013 at 07:52 PM. |

Hard to beat a twin turbo v6 AWD automatic. Not like you can rely on the driver messing up lol.

Stop arguing, this isnt high school. We have nothing to prove just improve the platform.. Safe boost is relative. Do you feel safe on the edge or in the margin of base and extreme ? Yes you can run 5-7-9-11-13 blah boost. Just do it intelligently.
