Now I hear what you are saying in that you want something small, and I don't want to assume you were completely referring to our product, but I don't necessarily agree with your terminology in what appears to be in reference to our enclosure. So to hopefully help clarify your statements, let me put it all into perspective with some numbers.

JL's Stealthbox houses a 10TW3 woofer that would like to see a net airspace of .50 cu ft. When you add the displacement of the woofer at .019 cu ft. you get .519 cu ft to be exact. This would mean that if JL built their Stealthbox specifically to this woofer's needs it would be less then a 1/4 cu ft smaller than our enclosure. 1/4 cu ft is almost exactly 1/28th of the entire 7.0 cu ft trunk in this vehicle. So if you are worried about space that much you should really be looking at our 8" enclosure which comes in at about .4 cu ft, and you could even put a JL 8W3 in there which in my opinion would sound better than any flat sub.

Now lets look at the physical "encroaching" space that the Stealthbox occupies compared to our enclosure, you will see that our enclosure actually has a more compact design. In fact our enclosure utilizes more vertical space instead of stretching out to the back of the seat like the Stealthbox. Consider that the front of the Stealthbox has large ribs to strengthen that long flat stretch of fiberglass, this actually is taking up even more space. When you look at just the footprint of the two enclosures, our enclosure "encroaches" only 2.5" further where the sub is and not at all from the strut tower to the back of the seat. I would estimate that the two enclosures actually have the same sq in. footprint, and would welcome anyone to measure the Stealthbox for this comparison.

All this to say that terms like "Encroaches" hardly describe our enclosure.

I would also like to add that our enclosures are hardly "generic" since we tailor them to your woofers needs and customize them to your match your vehicle and personality.

I just really hope you weren't describing our enclosure when you used the term "ghetto fiberglass job that will fit any 10" driver"

I think the biggest argument for the JL is that it is further out of the way in the largest part of the trunk, which is the corner that many other boxes occupy. I personally consider that corner of the trunk to be more usable space than the 2" that the stealthbox occupies all the way to the back seat. This is especially true if you were to try to pack a lot of luggage or something in the trunk. It's easier to fit a bunch of solid square items against a flat edge than it is to fit them around a rounded corner.

No offense intended, just suggesting a use case where the user might prefer the JL product.:happy0180:

No offense taken. Thanks for the constructive input!

Our enclosure doesn't come past the opening of the trunk so it shouldn't restrict the loading of luggage, and other than the 2.5" it comes out further than the Stealthbox at the opening, we actually figured that corner space to be fairly useless especially for square items. If all the space was really needed for transporting something, our enclosure can be removed in 30 sec., and the JL Stealthbox cannot.

When we were designing the enclosure and wanted to have it work for more than just a slim woofer, we were limited on places locate it. We saw a real benefit to the tuners if we stayed away from the strut tower bar location. We also based it off of this golf club pic in which you could have a pair of our enclosures and still pull this off with plenty of room to spare at the front of the trunk:

Do you have pictures from the same angle with each of your enclosures? My mind isn't really made up on what I'm going to get, so I'm always willing to consider another product. How does yours attach to the inside of the trunk? I'm more worried about how secure a box is than difficulty of attachment or modifying the inside of the trunk.

I do no not have the exact angle but these may help:

10" Passenger Side

10" Passenger Side

8" Passenger Side unfinished (smaller than the Stealthbox)

Glad I went with the Integrity Concepts box. Decision made much easier based on JL $1,250 price for Australia.

How much under $500? Do you have a guaranteed amount? Are they going to start a group buy on the forum?
