JL Audio Prototype Stealth Box
 

Hey Guys, just got back my BR-Z from JL Audio. They made a Stealth box that fits in the right corner of the trunk with a new slim line 10' speaker that is currently in production.
I
t fits perfect and also takes up very little space. I also added a 3 Channel JL Audio Amp, Clean Sweep (so I could use my Stock radio with the Navi) and JL Audio C-5 Coaxial door speakers. Sounds perfect.

Speaker is still in production but should be out very soon.

That looks fantastic. Any idea on the price range this will fall in?And do you have any more specs on the sub, power handling etc? I looked on the JL site but its not clear witch sub this is.

Can you take a picture from behind the car so we can get a better idea of the size and how it sits in the trunk area?

I'm not looking to go boom or nothing but how is low bass? Also, how crisp does the bass sound on bass guitar for example? I'm going to have to pick one of these up if they perform well.

Mmm C5 coaxials...have them in my truck as well as some C3's for the rear doors, amazing sound quality, gonna be cannibalizing my truck for speakers for my FR-S. I have a stealth box in my Titan powered by a JL HD900 amp (which is also powering all my component speakers too!) and loved the sound it produced...of course it housed 2 10w3v2's but JL know's how to build an application specific box.

I'm not a fan of the JL shallow mount setups to be honest, real bass comes from the ability of the cone to travel. Of course if you aren't like me, and just want better audio fidelity at lower volumes then yeah this should be fine...as for myself...I'm leaning towards a 10w7 in a custom box that will replace the back seats. We'll see though, my audio system is pretty low on the list of must haves for my car.

I had JL Stealthboxes (two IB 8" in the rear deck) on an old e36. They were truly fantastic. Can't wait for this to hit the market.

I cant wait for this. I have already sold my 10"W7 in H.O. box. Also someone should be picking up my 500/1 tonight. Gonna miss the W7 put I dont want to take up all my trunk space and I have heard the TW3 is pretty awesome.
