That CF wheel is tasty! I have a nasty carbon habit from cycling I'm trying to rid myself of and this does not help.

I have a soft spot for carbon as well, well then again.. who doesn't

I assume that scale is in KG, which would be 6.08 lbs per wheel. Still incredibly light, and not to mention a good looking wheel too!

Thanks,
Rick

I really like the following combination for those among us with more restrained budgets:

Kosei K4R 17x8 +36mm, 15.8 Ibs, $199/ea... This seems like the best size/weight/offset I have seen on any wheel and the price is extremely reasonable.

Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 225/45R17, 18 Ibs, $134/ea.... still waiting for more reviews on this tire, but gotta love the look, profile, weight and price.

Hope I am not derailing the thread by throwing in some tire talk, but this just struck me as such a good combination, or at least the potential for such. Wider tire, better grip, just a hair bigger round than stock and only 34 pounds per corner!

Don't own a BRZ yet, but when I do this is my first planned upgrade, at least for now : )

Regards,

Greg

Never thought of weighing /checking weights of tyres; have been entirely focused on wheel weight.

Haven't read the entire thread, but I see Weds tc105n 17x8 +42 aren't listed. They're 14.8lbs.

I just went out and weighed some semi slicks I have. 205/40/17 achilles 123s 18.6lbs.

Need to start a tyre weight list.

Tire weight are more important than wheel weight cuz its the most outer from the center causing the most unsprung weight... Correct me if im wrong haha

Not more unsprung, but rotational inertia, since the mass is farther from the center, ie harder to stop/start.
