I have the nVidia SS and if I keep the silencers in it's close to stock (a little more "crisp" sounding). But remove the silencers and I get some drone.

I plan on removing them on track days and putting them back after...

since we're on the topic of exhaust sounds, would a high flow cat with downpipe significantly increase the sound of exhaust or affect the sound at all?

You must be a little clearer on your question. High flow cat downpipe? High flow cat midpipe with a catted/catless downpipe?

Zero drone with RevWorks and Greddy SP Elite. Throwing a HFC front pipe on sometime soon, will update once that's on, but I doubt it will change.

I have the entire system. Front pipe has HFC and the Catback is resonated. So Borla UEL, Perrin Overpipe, Perrin HFC front pipe, Perrin Resonated Catback. The exhaust note it pure sex with zero drone at any RPM. I don't have any videos posted but I keep getting requests so I need a GoPro it seems. The car sounds really good and from 3k to 4.5k the boxer rumble sounds very beefy. The TQ is the most noticeable improvement.

Sorry for late reply, been bouncing back and forth from FL to CA lately. Living life on a plane and in hotel rooms sucks.

I was one of the people effected by the fitment.. I had warped flanges on the original batch of headers they shipped. The replacement that I received it perfect in every way with no warping or defects of any type. Borla is a great company and they stood behind their product 100% and made it right. I didn't hide the issues, I took pics and posted them for everyone to see. If they gave me any issues at all about securing a replacement I would say something but they were absolutely great throughout the process. Great product, great price, great company.

Bad tires/rim combo will increase cabin noise more so then any header swap, if that is all your changing.
