Certainly not that you're retarded. More like, I'm sorry and I'm offering my condolences but I didn't really have the right words to express that. Yeah, it was a confusing post. Nevertheless, that sucks man.

Would you mind telling us your setup? Have you changed anything in the PCV system?

Ugh. I really hope this isn't the case but thanks for chiming in. I am running the tune that has the injector fix but, from the sound of it, it may have come too late. I'll have to investigate that thread to see how people are diagnosing the issue.

Need some assistance.
Toyota SA have loaded the new 001 sofware upgrade to my vehicle a few months back. I have a month ago loaded the STG 1 tune, which is based on the old software.
If I flash my base ROM file which is the upgraded software back, would Toyota be able to pick up I have installed a Tune.
recalls are happening and Toyota are verifying upgrade software is installed while servicing.
Thanks

As long as your base rom is the most up to date copy, you will be fine at the dealer level.

Curious though, you said recalls are happening. Where did you find this info? Can you share more details?

Thanks for the info. So Toyota cant pick up in anyway that I have been running a different ROM file or running over the OEM rev limitor?

The software up date is my base ROM, I sent John, which Im sure is the base of his new release or the same upgrade being applied to his new release.

any 86 prior to 31 January 2013 in SA, is having the software upgrade done, whether Toyota SA recalls you or they simply upgrade during the next service. Details of upgrade is in the injector issue thread, this info comes from us in SA.

Very interesting. Your tuner might be using that to add in the extra timing that E85 loves. As long as the value is positive then it means the ECU is adding more timing than the timing tables call for.
