The idea is to compare them, I really don't think it is as bad as its made out to be.

Kinda like the idea turbos are gonna destroy your belts and make you constantly over heat.

The problem is you can't compare psi to power.

Even two turbos operating at the same PSI can put down very different amounts of power. 10 psi on one turbo can be vastly different than 10 psi on another. This has always been a problem with forced induction is many people simply ask how many pounds are yeah running but it gives no indication of the amount of air flowing into the engine.

This is from a PM conversation between me and Visconti
Correct! Has anyone received the custom pulley yet? Still waiting on mine!

So are you saying you also haven't received your smaller pully from visconti when you purchased a STG1+ kit?

Is there a way to tell for certain whether a kit is one of the upgraded Vortech SC kits or not?

What's the difference exactly?

I've got a lead on a Vortech kit available locally + install but I would like to be sure what I'm getting.

Ask which model supercharger it is.

V-3 H67B is the newer supercharger and it comes with a 3.48" pulley @ roughly 9psi if i have the numbers right.

Shoot me a pm with the serial number on the unit. From that I should be able to tell you what it is.

I don't have much to add to this conversation other than this - I got my kit from Visconti as well, and was supposed to get the 13psi pulley with the stage 1+ kit. I didn't get that pulley. From what I was told, that pulley was supposed to be coming with the kit from Vortech themselves.

We only have two FT86 system part numbers (4TF218-014L & 4TF218-114L), and they both come with the same pulley (3.48" 6-Rib). If there is not a separate, additional line item on the order for a different sized pulley when it is placed with us, a different sized, additional pulley does not come with the order when it is shipped. Unfortunately, you'll have to take it up with the Dealer on this one.

Waiting for Perrin to get back to me on this but been having this odd issue with power cut after a 1st gear to second gear shift. Per this log.

After careful second gear shift, foot back on throttle then sudden power cut, for a millisecond, power comes back but weaker then knock at the higher end per log.
