paste. i used to use liquid waxes but a bottle doesn't last as long, goes bad or gums up

for waxes we use paste like Auto Finesse Waxes and Lusso

for sealants we have been using liquids.

I'd like to learn how to use a random orbital so that I can occasionally buff out and touch up my opti-coat myself. Do you have any guides or recommended reading on that? My main concern is burning through the clear or just taking too much off. That's not exactly an easy fix.

DD, I had been using all of my polishing and waxing pads for my old Black 85' Supra which virtually had no clear coat left and was turning the pads black. That car is now gone.

If I wash the pads, is it safe to use the same pads on my new White BRZ? Hate to throw away 3 nearly new pads if not necessary.

Also, on a brand new daily driver BRZ(60 miles a day), when or how often would you recommend polishing it?

(I currently use the 1Z Polish and 1Z Wax)

Random orbitals are not like the rotary polisher. Anything from griots' garage or DAS will do the job just fine. Make sure you get the higher performance ones as you need torque to do the job properly. Random orbital are really fool proof. Plenty of videos on YouTube really.
I detailed my car to mirror finish with no issues. And have done few others as well. I am amased how easy they are to use and the results. Steer away from the Mothers or any double handles one...they are shit as they dont have enough power to get a nice finish.

My .2 cents.

Not my BRZ thank goodness, but my '11 Outback. Sour milk on cream colored leather seats. What to do about the odor? I've seen white vinegar mentioned, but I don't want to mess up the leather.

Suggestions?

I'm guessing a "shark" steamer for floors doesn't count (it does have a nozzle, and clothing steamer attachment).

If the smell persists, I don't mind paying a pro, it's got to be cheaper then replacing the seat bottom.

I would check how much the seat bottom cost because you may need a pro to extract all that out I'm assuming they are fabric or is it leather?
