I'm kinda struggling looking for Book 2: A clash of kings. I can't seem to find the old hardcover anywhere. >:/

And I'm curious to know whether the water dancer guy (Aya's sword instructor in season 1) is the same guy in season 2 (Jakan Hagal(?)) the super assassin.

The common thought is No, he's not. The water dancer is just a Bravosi swordsman, while Jakan Hagal belongs to an assassins guild. They come from the same region (I don't want to give out spoilers but here's a very small one) where she will wind up for a time.

One thing that I feel is a plot point that's left out. When Arya was "lost" and being passed around the wilderness, she would dream of her missing wolf Nymeria who is now leading a very large pack of wild wolves and terrorizing the countryside. They do play a small, but at times key role in the books.

Also, Rob starks wife wasn't with them at the red wedding, and is still alive. She just becomes a footnote, and I think they wanted to streamline the story, so they killed her off to tie up that thread.

I try to be careful about revealing spoilers and the like. There is nothing in there that will spoil any surprises the story has lined up.

I am a bartender at a very busy steakhouse, and People spoil tv shows, and movies for me all the time. I wonder how people can freely talk about things with no consideration of others.

Due to my schedule I need to record a lot of things, or watch them a week after they come out, so I try to dodge people, but it's impossible with my line of work.

If you lived closer to me I would let you borrow my hardcovers to read.

In the process of reading the books he, hands down became my favorite character, and the series misses a lot of the small nuance of his character. How much he did to save Kings landing in the battle of blackwater. How many strings he pulled, and what he had his hands in. His inner demons and his search for love and acceptance, all the while being shunned by the people he wanted it from the most. His love for Shae and everything he did to protect her from Cerci, and Tywin.

In the books he's a very rich well fleshed out character, and an anti-hero of sorts.

The second season was ok, and as one of my co-workers said, She is enjoying the third season because it's like watching a completely new story.

They were pressed for time and money, so they are all over the place. Minor story tweaks, cutting characters out, and the timeline is out of whack. They weren't even sure if they would have had the show picked up for multiple seasons while filming the first, but no fear. They are signed on to the completion of the story (7 seasons announced), and George R.R. Martin didn't want to pull a Robert Jordan and die before it was finished, so he told the producers what his final end game was. If something happens to him they can still finish the story, and they are cleaning up the story a bit.

I think that's why they killed off Rob's wife.
