Game of Thrones

For anyone who is watching (I know you do Ayau)

Damn episode 9 was awesome. O_O

LeavingNormal 05-28-2012 07:13 PM

So awesome!

Giccin 05-28-2012 07:14 PM

I don't like that each season is 10 episodes. -_- At least 13. Jeez.

I actually just started watching Ep.9 a few minutes ago.

Having already read the books though, I know how it's going to end.

Happily ever after?

Heh... Which book are they on? I made it to 'A feast for crows' a while ago.

They've been doing 1 season = 1 book so far, so they're getting towards the end of "A Clash of Kings". They'd better start stretching them out though, or they'll catch up to old man Martin in season 5.

I have the books but haven't got a chance to start reading them yet. But the show is just simply amazing.

Did he close it out yet? I stalled out in Crows because I had to wait so long for it. Haven't picked it up again but saw there's a new one...

Going to have to restart at the beginning damnit...

I read somewhere that season 3 will only cover half of A Storm of Swords...

I was so excited when I first heard HBO had optioned this series. I always hoped there would be a movie, but I see now how much more of the story a tv series can tell. I'm about to watch episode 9 now

He's got at least two more to go, so in GRRM time it should be finished some time in the 2020's.

I was in the same boat as you: after only getting half of a book in ten years of waiting, I had given the series up for dead. I'm still not entirely convinced it isn't but at least with HBO to breathe down his neck he might just get off his ass and work for a living again. You might want to wait around and see how long it takes him to write the next one. I didn't wait, I was weak. I also didn't bother re-reading any of the other books and spent most of the time confused. ;)

Actually he's been writing for the actual shows too so if anything sits slowing him down. They've been combining certains parts from the books into seasons. But I'm sure it'll work out. The shows just a supplement for me anyways I'm all about the books now.

I noticed there were some parts of the episodes where they weren't in the book.
