I read the SCCA rules updated 5/1/2013 but didn't see RTR even listed as a class in Appendix A. What did I miss?

That has me all confused too. I had already bought tires when I heard about it so I didn't look in to it much. There's an RTR thread with guys I'm sure could help you out though.

RTR is a supplemental class for SCCA Nationals and National Tour events.
as such, your local region may or may not offer it.

The only difference between C Stock and RTR is the R compound tires are not
allowed in RTR. RTR tires must have a tire wear rating of 140 or higher.

I would suggest you register in CS and just go have some fun. (unless your local
region implements RTR or has a street tire PAX class).

Does anyone know the thread pitch of the tow hook? I'd like to just replace it with a threaded rod to better mount my camera.

Ptuning makes a great mount but after having it aswell as the suction cup mount I prefer the suction cup it's easier to use and can be mounted literally anywhere

I'd rather pay $2 for a piece of threaded rod than $80 for one that's anodized.

I have a suction cup mount but I can't bring myself to trust it. I had a handlebar mount on my tow hook for the last event but it's not quite long enough to work very well. So.. anyone know the thread pitch and size?

Hi Ed, what tire pressures are you using in the A6s?

I replaced the stock brake pads with some Stoptech Sport pads before our event this last Sunday, they are definitely much better than stock.

What's on the car so far:

Enkei RPF1 wheels, 7x17"
Hoosier A6 tires: 245/40R17
Modified Strano front sway bar
Camber Bolts: gets me about -1.4 deg (if i measured it right)
Koni Sport Shocks

Going on the car (real soon now):
Nameless Performance track pipe
Motul 300 tranny/diff fluid

i think that's it... also working on the steering wheel spacer but i suspect
that is a lost cause.

maybe if none of the MX-5/Solstice/370Z cars show up...

Okay I had been using 34F/32R but this last event switched it up to 32F/33R, didn't seem to make much difference.

M16x1.5

from what I've read it's not that easy to find this size. might be easiest to just buy an extra tow hook and cut/weld/modify it.

or what I did, as I had already bought a GrimmSpeed license plate mount that screws into the tow hook hole, I figured out the bolt size that goes into the front of that piece. (M8x1.25). Went to Home Depot, bought a bolt and piece of sheet metal bent in a 90* angle for about $4 total. Drilled a hole to fit the bolt through it, painted it black and used an adhesive GoPro mount on it.

I have an FR-S and I'm building it to run CS for the rest of this year and will see if I want to stay in Stock or move to another class next year. I checked with the Scion dealer and they don't have a part number for a "Crash/Camber bolt" and when I checked with the Subi dealer they said the top bolt is a camber adjusting bolt from the factory and don't list a part number for the camber bolt; would you happen to have the part number for the camber bolt? I'll be installing the Koni sport shocks this weekend so I'll be able to see it the top bolt is infact an adjustable bolt.

Also, do you feel the car needs the bigger front sway bar? I have the 22 mm Stano bar on order but don't want to put it on if it is not necessary. The bar is on backorder until the beginning of July and we have a race Fathers Day weekend so I'll get a good feel for the car with the stock bar then.

Not surprised about the Purple Crack-Hoosiers. Most competitors have 'over-tired' their cars with A6's as the cantilever effect (slant in) of the uber-stiff sidewall against the tread carcass creates grip on an otherwise too-wide tire. Again Newton has failed us, the world is flat. At least that's what the conventional wisdom is about the Hoosiers when bench racing, aka working the autocross course.
