You can get it done with lots of camber, Lower control arms, coilovers and skinny tires
215 or 225

Might as well sell the tires to some WRX guy and pick up either 225/45 or 245/40 as suggested previously. I had really wanted 245/40 but after some spirited driving on 225s, I really don't think this car needs anything wider except for looks. Just get a good compound.

hey guys. i just dropped my car around 1.25 all around. i bought 18x8 +35 wheels . i was thinking about a 235/40/18 tires. will this fit. i am not into that slimjim tire look and would rather get performance the looks so i dont want my wall to be to thin. should i go for a 45 wall or should that be fine. open to all suggestions . ty

Any issues with putting 225s on a 17x7 wheel? I know it'll fit but is there a risk of the sidewall buckling under autocross and hugh speed turns?

I've been reading many of the threads on wheels, to include the stickies and have gotten decently spun up on it. I must say, I'm not all that tech savvy when it comes to cars, but I just want to ask before I place my order. I believe the XXR 527 in matte bronze would look awesome on my lightning red BRZ.
Ideally I was going to do the 18X8.75 [+35], but they are always out of stock. I was wondering if I will have any issues, or if anyone else has used the +20 offset and would it cause me issues? I haven't lowered the car yet, but will do so in the future. Thanks for the help. http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-527-Wh.../52788547n.htm And any thoughts on these tires? http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes |

I haven't used those tires, but mine were 235 Federals, and those are more like a 245. I would stick with the +35, personally. Not sure how close you'd be to the front spring perch, though.
