@Yruyur i see you've been helping your peeps
i've poked around a bit more and there is a way to also seemingly program keys as well. i bought two wrong keys so far but that's my fault... but i was able to register the controls to unlock/lock, etc, but it just won't start the car because of the immobilizer. once i get the actual correct key i should have then i'll test to see if we can truly add our own keys.

Every few months I'll ask it... but does this mean that someone has dumped the ECU? Hex or ASCII, encrypted or not, does not matter. Want to get my grubbies on it and start digging.
Would love to contribute to developing an open-source strategy for the FA20, but I'm not terribly knowledgeable about chip-level commands. If Techstream could be a delivery method, that sure would be a simple solution. Edit: It appears that RomRaider has successfully pulled the tables for a USDM GT86 M/T with SH7256 memory LINK to download This discussion is from when the ROM was initially dumped. This is incomplete and does not include bootloader sections. LINK to thread Here's some recent chatter about it. LINK to thread

The roms are not encrypted. I have been following the romraider threads and it looks like someone snagged the ROM without the bootloader when it was unpacked during a reflash. Someone in the openecu thread has a bench setup and also managed to sniff the Techstream communication between the software and ECU but only picked up the seed/challenge values during the handshake process.
Interesting another company, Alientech has reflash ability now, although they only have a few tables defined. Once some of those guys get ahold of the roms they will figure out the table definitions very quickly since its similar to other Subaru Denso ECUs. |

Have a quick question before I order... Need to know if I can use this to disable the chime I get when I hit 120km/h. It drives me nuts and the dealer says they can't.
Anyone know if I can?
