What are you going to be using the car for? A supercharger would be better for street driving while a turbo would probably be better for racing. I think a lot of people compare the dyno figures of turbos and SCs, but what they don't realize is that 300hp is a lot on these cars. Sure there's other cars like the Mustang and Camaro that make higher hp numbers but they're also a lot heavier/bulkier.
And imo torque is more important than hp, especially on a street car |

My e30 m3 which has 321hp and weighs abt 1000kg just like the 86 was beating 2012 porsche's with 400+ hp. The porsche's are significantly heavier than me this is the main reason. and forget torq and hp u must look at Kw for a beter understanding of your power. |

One guy here from Qatar has FBM kit (basic) and I remember one time he said that his temp gauge gose above norm at some points. To me if you want to go +10psi id sort out the cooling parts first (better radiator, water wetter, oil cooler and have some fins in your hood to evacuate the hot air)

BTW has anyone tried to fit a sti turbo headers to the 86/brz/frs im wondering if it would fit. I knw the turbo would come next to the battery then but there selling sti turbo headers on ebay for like 150bucks and cant find any for brz/86. Just N/A headers. Id like to build my own kit as I feel the ready made ones r quite a ripp off cause theres not much to them at all. the headers and down pipe its the most important part. I can get turbo/intercooler and piping from anywhere. and id rather go with a cheaper turbo cause when it busts from the heat ill just replace it. |

This is track days in 100+ degree calif weather. In cooler weather its probably not as necessary, but I wouldn't take the chance. |
