The law is specific to motorcycles. Cars will trip the sensors, but many bikes won't. This temporary law allows motorcyclists to wait 1.5 minutes and if it's safe and no response from the light, they can go. Left turning traffic never has the right of way unless they specifically have a green left arrow. If the light doesn't trip for a moto, they would not have the right of way, and thus have to wait until there is no conflicting traffic (such as a 2-way or 4-way stop).

I rarely get caught in this scenario unless I'm coming home late from work, but I wish they'd pass this in Colorado, even if it's the same "one year see if it works" plan.

I'd LOVE to have a moto trials bike... I rode bicycle trials for several years until my job required too much time, and trials riding caused too much pain. There may be few of that particular model in the states, but there are lots of moto trials bikes around, just not mainstream. Sherco, Gas Gas, etc.

Right on. Yeah this is one of the pioneer bikes. Really not a lot has changed regarding shape, though the new ones are made of much lighter more efficient materials/ technology.

I had a couple of trials bicycles, but never really had people to ride with, so I wasn't really motivated to get good at it. I wish I had stuck with it.

A supermoto would definitely be fun. I rode KTM's 690 supermoto and it was pretty nice once I got over the notchy transmission. Getting the right gear is tricky, I can't get anything that fits me just right since I'm a skinny tallish dude. Try as much gear as you can before you buy and wear it for a long period before you actually keep it. I wasted so much money trying to get a good fit on gear.

I installed the Motodynamic Integrated Tail Light last night. It is a beast to pull the rear tail light from these. Takes maybe 10 minutes to pull the tail off, but that rear light is literally wedged in there. You have to pry it out using screwdrivers, all the while hoping you don't crack the paint, or even the plastic. When I checked it before putting it together I checked that the blinkers and brake lights worked, but I didnt check to make sure the headlight and tail light functions worked. Got everything together and well they dont work now. I am guessing I blew a fuse, but the main one was still in tact, so I will dig through it tonight again. I also may have just pinched a wire, but I don't know yet.

Thanks!

Yeah, I am too poor to buy a BRZ, so I had to get the FRS.

Yeah, I never want to do the replacement of the electrical on a bike again haha. I got some blinkers from a local Honda parts place.....they work, but because they are LEDs they dont actually blink haha.

There is apparently a problem with the wattage/voltage requirements to trigger the flash relay.....the LEDs use less power so they dont trip it....something of that nature.

MSF starts tomorrow for me! Might have to get some boots....dont think they will like me wearing my jordans, even if they cover most of the ankle...

Im looking at picking up a commuter bike. The new CB500F looks great. I sat on the CBR500R at the dealer yesterday, and overall I liked it, but Id much rather have a naked slow bike over a fully faired slow bike

70mpg :yum:

The stats (aside from gas mileage) are pretty similar to my Hawk GT. It just sucks that the ABS model (which I'd most likely get) is not available in white (which I really want).

You need to install resistors.

Or install a relay designed for LED blinkers.

Correct. That is why I am frightened by these new "Left on Red" laws. People barely pull off the "Right on Red" as it is.
