Nice bike, and 250s rock.
Can't see letting loose of my SV either.

Congrats amigo. What a unique style! Most makers go from a twin to an inline four, not many do the triple right?

Hope you have many safe happy miles with it!
Thanks! Yeah most go with a supersport inline 4, but for some reason I just fell out of love with them. The 2009+ Kawasaki zx-6r was a bike I was looking to get next but after learning about this Triumph I just forgot about it. I never thought I'd like a naked bike, but this thing just looked so damn good and sounded so fine I couldn't resist haha. I'm brand loyal to a point but if someone makes something I know I'll like you better believe I'm going to get it. Supersports just began to seem to focused on the track to me and that isn't the only thing I want my street bike to do. No saying it doesn't have a place on the street just didn't feel like the best option in my case, since I ride on the street a lot and do track days maybe once or twice a month.

Its really great though its like owning a naked supersport. I pay 1/3 the cost on insurance compared to a supersport, the bike was cheaper to buy, its more comfortable, still supersport light, and still has all the power and fun of a supersport. It handles amazing too, feels like it'll be right at home on the track. I think this bike is a keeper, it'll help tide me over till I can get one of the twins haha. Hope to have thousands of fun miles on it just like I had on the 250.

One day I'll be getting another 250 or 300 or whatever Kawasaki has by the time I'm ready to make a track machine. 250 racing is really fun and competitive.

This is exactly where I am at. I don't need the ultra fastest supersport. I want something a bit more upright.

I loved my speed triple. So far my streetfighter is the perfect mix of my past 3 bikes: speed triple, k1200r, and r1. Speed, freeway stability, and I can flick it around like the triumph. I have read that the new speed triple is a bit more stable on the freeway as well. I bed that street is a hoot. I hope I don't regret not going to a triumph again.

Yep I feel the same way, to me a 600 class bike is more than enough for the street. Liter supersports just seem too overkill for the street. I rode a couple of them and before they were even reaching their stride you're blowing well past the speed limit. The Triple still gets me going every ride so that's good enough for me haha. Not saying don't get a liter bike or anything or that no one should ride them on the street. Definitely get the bike that suits your needs and is what you want.

Lately I am thinking a supermoto might suit me. It's not something I ever imagined, but I see some vloggers having big fun with them. They speak to my inner thrill-seeker who likes to "go exploring" which sometimes means going down light trails and such. For now I am focusing on getting the right gear and testing multiple bikes so I find something that is comfortable.

Damn, I really need to get out on the bike....Got it started yesterday, just some quick checks to make sure lights work etc, replaced the electrical harnesses front to back. Bike 'flutters' at idle now.....think its a TP Sensor.

Lot of these bikes are SUPER nice compared to mine haha. I wish hawaii had a track! We get to just cruise out here (which I love!)

Wow, thats actually pretty awesome, but I wonder how many people will actually wait the 90 seconds?

I was told just push the crosswalk button lol. There is enough traffic out here that cars are always right behind me tohugh so I dont really have the problem I guess.

I believe VA has something similar to that, I need to double check. It definitely comes in handy at 2am when there aren't many cars on the road and theres tons of left turn signals in my area.

left turning cars are not good for motorcycles....they just dont see us. Being able to do it on a red will make the situation worse.

@Tanuki you've had some cool bikes! Love that photo of your dad. What model is he riding? Looks like a trials bike from the 70's...

It is a good law. The idea is that you treat it like a stop sign instead of a light. You don't get the right of way, just the opportunity to turn if it is safe. I think it is a good idea and tons of bikes are already doing this anyway.

I believe it is an '87 Honda RTL250S. He brought it back from Japan when we moved home in 87, so I would guess he bought it new that year and shipped it. As far as I know, there are only a couple of them in the states. Pretty much every trials guy that sees it tries buying it from him.
