A few thousand saved was well worth the two week delay, even with the dirty transport headache.

to be honest, that type of shit is expected to happen. the dealer is aware of it, they know they put on a nice pretty car and after a few state rides it's gonna turn to crap but they released a clean car is all they care about. i'm surprised no one tarps the space between the two stories to prevent the dripping fluids.
not much you can do about nature taking its toll on the car with an open transport though. |

I have always thought that if I went with a Colorado dealer, I would just fly out and use the drive back to do my break in, stories like the OP's just confirm it. I have broken in a few cars so don't tell me how bad this would be for the engine, although, I wonder if it would be any better for the paint.

Paying MSRP isn't a bad thing, paying over that is. To be fair you were trying to get a deal on a very rare brand new sports car, you wouldn't be able to get a deal without some kind of drawback like what is pictured. Colorado is one of the worst places to buy from now, they're in turmoil. Magpul, need I say more. |

Hey, at least your car didn't get damaged while it was in transit to the dealer. I've worked for a Subaru dealer for almost a year now and we have had several accounts where cars get scrapes and dents during the time they get transported from the port to the dealership. Then they have to sit and wait for two weeks while we get approval for Subaru to foot the repair bill.

I don't understand their reasoning. A sale is a sale, right? So what if the commission on this sale is much less than usual...they would have a potential new customer to screw over ....excuse me... "service" during regular maintenance.

Wow, I'm glad I'm flying out to pick up my car. That would piss me off seeing my new car like that. Sorry bud
