I literally just finished mine. After you apply clear i would let it fully cure (usually 7 days) then polish. I'm gonna let mine sit a month or so, then just wax with my normal wax (collinite 845)

Darren, you said a few months back you were going to do a little extra work to get them glossy and post pics.. Did you ever get around to it?
Im in the middle of coats right now. Once I've got the tint I want I figure I'll wait a week then do the steps War suggested.
Hope to see some pics as I will with unfinished matte then follow up with how it turns out following War's steps.

That looks really good. I want to give VHT a try but don't want to mess them up.

Its not that bad... since I wanted the clear turnsignals it took some extra patience to tape it off. I would only give them a couple of coats.. the more you apply the darker they get. the Right side had one more coat than the left side. had to take rubbing compound and polish to 'even' it out .. basically taking a good layer of paint off.. they are pretty even now. What a HUGE difference. Was never a fan of them stock. now.. S E X Y ..

All red tails look great on every color except ultramarine IMO. And figures, mine is ultramarine. I like the stock taillights on them. I'm thinking they might look better with the surrounding edges done in red, but the contrasting turn signals looks great against the blue.

On that note, every other color looks 10x better with red or smoked tails.

Had mine redded this week...took them to my good friends bodyshop. UV clearcoat tinted with red and a little black to kill any pink.
