There are quite a few people that bought AT and now want MT. Much more than the other way around. You are in a good position to make a trade with someone....

Your long trip analogy is BS. Since you would be primarily in same gear for extended periods of time, not changing gears so therefore just like at and you become lack of awareness. don't you agree ?

As for the long trip anecdote, I shifted to 4th quite a few times for some aggressive passing on the highway. Sometimes I'd put it into 5th for steeper inclines. If I was driving AT, I'd just modulate the throttle *yawn*. Besides, Great Ocean Rd is very twisty - gave me plenty of time to practice heel-toe and experiment with traction loss

This car should have never been sold in AT......all small sports and sporty cars should be manual. it's a waste to buy it in Auto.
One of the best things about the 3rd gen WRX was that it wasn't offered in auto. as for the guys claiming mpg as the excuse i got 36mpg on the way to work and back. 130 miles of 60/70 and some city. (pretty straight and boring though) The only thing worse for driving fun than an auto is a CVT.

i never understand why people say they shouldn't make an AT on a sports car like this. I just don't understand, who cares if they have it, don't buy it lol what changes when it's only available in MT? Oh yeah, just one less choice lol nothing more
![]() if you don't want a Bic Mac with a combo then don't take the combo. Simple analogy, you're not paying for it, doesn't hurt you that it's there lol

EXACTLY!!! MT drivers who make comments like that, have issues with people driving ATs, that or they are jealous of people who can have it easy in AT? LOL idk just making random guesses at this poit, like i said, i never understand their thought process. I love both to be honest, there are pros and cons to be discussed and each has their own greatness
