Series 1 are ready to ship, series 2 are an extra 1-2 days to ship from the day the order is placed. We usually have these on shelf but we sold out of the series 2.

Is this the catch can you ended up buying?
I read in one of your posts that you fitted one to stop the fumes you were getting in the car after fitting the turbo. If that's correct and this stopped them, how were the fumes getting in the car from the closed system in the first place?

At some point I considered getting a different one and selling this one but ended up keeping it. Since this one vents to ATM, what I did was relocate the filter on top of it to below the car so that the fumes escape far away from the A/C vents when it is not set to recirculate air. Cars that have Auto A/C controls (at least in my climate) tend to almost always start off in non-recirc mode, so the fumes would get inside the cabin. With the relocation mod (see last pic in my build thread), the fumes no longer get in the cabin and I'm extremely happy with the Can. Extremely simple to install.

Thanks David. So it was the filter breathing to atmosphere under the bonnet causing the fumes.
I'm getting the odd wiff of engine fumes, mainly with the window down straight after a hard run to the 6000rpm + range. It's much better since I changed the oil and barely noticeable but I can't get my head around where they're coming from?
The oil stays clean for thousands of km's and it's not using any.
No leaks and the breather pipes are tight.

I think I always got a little fume smell too after spirited runs before catch can. The PCV connection to Throttle Body is not clamped, maybe a little bit of leakage there?

Have you checked the pump plate on the back of the engine near the battery for leaks? There is a thread in the Issues forum about it leaking oil on the overpipe causing an oily smell. Mine has this issue, but I haven't taken the time to fix it yet. It is a gold plate held on with three bolts and if you have the issue you will feel oil on the bottom corner of the plate.

With any open element releasing oil vapor into an engine bay there will always be some smells, with ac in recirculate it rids this problem for the most part. For those who would like to have ac not on recirculate we are working on a relocation option, it will be built from mandrel bent aluminum tubing that matches the catch can finish. We will also have some other updates coming along as we are always using customer feedback and testing to further develop our products.
