I can hear the SC winding up when I drive aggressively (windows up). when the windows are down, you can really hear it. My aunt was outside when I got on the throttle down the road and she said it sounds like a jet engine winding up.
This may sound absurd but my only grip about the kit is, it deletes the sound tube.

Nice. What kind of head work and do you have a link to a dyno?

Oh gem, wmi doesn't raise your 91 to 93. It moves it well past 93. And practically no one will want the hassle and cost of running that.
Can we just get some consistent test result? Please? |

I dont think he was implying that WMI will raise the octane level to 93 but rather allow him to get timing where the rest of the country would be able to with readily available 93 octane. Of course running WMI would allow for much more aggressive timing but knowing Gem he is going conservative and just trying to obtain similar results that someone with access to better fuel would see. WMI is probably one of the best alternatives to combat our climate and fuel availability here in the pacific southwest. I can tell you I have been using it for almost 15 years and I have never looked back.

I may just be harping over terminology but I would argue that he will still need a failsafe trigger device such as the Aquamist DDS3 (http://www.aquamist.co.uk/press/DDS3-v8-web.pdf) or the AEM WMI failsafe gauge.
Even if the Ecu handles the map switch, it still needs to be told to switchmaps, which is the function both the DDS3 or AEMWMIG. That is unless they are going to integrate a flow sensor in with the stock ecu.

He's looking for the highest numbers to possibly post. No where in any of my many conversations with him, did he mention anything about being conservative. He wants the numbers. That's why he's running a very small pulley and wastegated setup with WMI (which DOES provide knock resistance well beyond 93 octane).

He's guessing that he's at 270 because he was having the leak on his last dyno. When he gets new numbers I will post them up.
