I have been rocking black wheels since 2004 when I put them on my Jeep TJ. I can't stand chrome and silver/grey, looks like 99 to me. But NOT all black wheels look good. Coloured wheel lugs can help set them apart.That being said, I am currently looking at white wheels for my brz. Have not pulled the trigger on anything yet though.

I love the black color, but only on red or white. Blacked out can look okay, but it really depends on the body style of the car.

Personally, I'm going for white, and then I'm going to 20% tint and get some fairly cheap black Enkei wheels to hold me over for the first few months. I am a huge fan of white and black on cars, a lot like @Supermassive and @PRORICAN up above.

But for my asphalt FR-S I chose Hyper Silver

Tried black with machined accents on a silver car, didn't like that either so went with hypersilver.

I know this isn't an 86 but its another one of my cars...I chose black and silver on here as it compliments the colors and trim the best. I've done automotive design for more than half of my life and the car dictates the wheels and what looks good.

I still think that the OP is ridiculous for starting such a stupid thread. I could've started a thread saying "what's with hot lava colored FRSs, they're hideous looking" but some people love that color and that's their opinion and they have every right to feel that way. The OP needs to grow up.

Don't have the time to read all the posts but if nobody has mentioned it, I went black because race pads put out a lot of dust.
