uhhh.. anyways im talking about the side of the box where the intake tube goes in.. seems like the hole on the box is too big for the intake tube?

That's what I just said, the hole is bigger because it allows the intake to breathe in air from that direction....
EDIT: Let me rephrase, you get airflow coming through the radiator, some of those air that passes by will get sucked into that hole because the intake is doing everything it can to suck in as much air as possible.. (Which can be a bad thing, as the airflow that had passed through the radiator is hot)

If you notice how restricted the box is for the filter, you even have four vents on top of the cover as well....

Wrap that intake with some heat barrier cloth or something. Those injen intake heat soak up pretty good.

Im having pretty much all the same issues with the Injen intake. I installed an Ecutek Flash by Perrin and matters got even worse. Now I'm running the stock tune and it feels better, but still issues 2,000 rpm.
