Don are these 3 pumps special or just standard Walbro 255's or DW290s? Do I need to modify the fuel system extensively or is it a kit I will be able to buy and put together at home? I have 1 of the pumps John sent me out for the 500cc injectors but I might need to change this if this is the safe way to go

Yes the my 290 or DW's smaller 270 pump can be used.

That leaves one left to fix the issue of fuel not getting from the drivers half to the passengers half. There is no need for a pump to do things with the return nor would that help the situation of not enough fuel on the passengers side, so I feel it is safe to assume that the leftover pump is just moving fuel from the drivers side to the passengers side somehow in whatever "Magic" way you chose.

1 Pump is your OE. 2 other pumps are the smaller 290s or 260s. You can keep one pump that you have and just buy one. Simply Remove $100 off the kit. I believe John and I talked about doing a core exchange for the basket to make it easy on people. Since your across the world, it'd be best to just buy a core and just do all the work for you. That way you can convert back to your oe piece should you chose to.

Yeah interesting to see if the plastic pump housing needs to be modified much to make the pumps fit

In a sense. The 3rd pump is making sure the fuel supply on the drivers side has enough flow when the demand requires so that the system can refill the passenger side at the same time and keep the cycle going.

Yes the OE plastic housing is modified. You will be drilling 3 holes through it to place the anodized black bulkheads through. Along with a ground stud for the pumps. Its nothing you can't do with a drill bit set and a drill.

Past that, its just normal hand tools. and a little bit of wiring for some relays.

just curious, how come no one else developing FI kits with more than 250whp have come across this problem? AVO stage2, P&L, Dynosty, Ptuning, Full Blown, Evasive with HKS, JDL, others? Would people from some of those like to chime in?

this issue has been addressed by stock motor track race drivers, by having starvation as they exit turns. Gem a former member who has been banned also reported this issue on his vortech kit.

We've come across this problem before and just made compensations with the Injector Open time for lack of fuel volume.

When Don was building the new turbo kit he decided to do some fuel flow testing.. that's when he discovered the fuel volume issue.

The fuel flow problem from one side to another continues to be a problem for aggressive road racing guys

Im sure John is the first to say Don is testing the shit out of the limits of the stock car more than anyone else. Better to have a fuel abundance than any issue of lack of pressure / volume in my book

I'm sure atleast one of them has run into this. I seem to recall FBM using some kind of surgetank setup last year for something.

I think its pretty safe to say i'm the only one daily driving around at 600hp unless someone wants to prove me otherwise!
