Need advice on some LE37's
So i have an opportunity to pick up some volks LE37's at a pretty good price with rubber.
Wheel Specs are: 5x100 (given) , 17x7.5 + 48 offset I have checked the wheel directory for something similar but there weren't too many pictures. so i was wondering if anyones running something similar? was too worried if if the wheel would be sucked in too much or if it would be a decent fitment. please note i have HSD coil overs sitting in my closet waiting to be installed i'm looking to go only half an inch lower from stock so about 2 finger gaps. these are the pictures that i was looking at, i have also purchased 5mm spacers to pretty much gauge how much i need to sit more flush. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16193 thanks in advance for your help

Offset is same as stock, width is .75" wider, so look at ur stock wheels and add .37" to both the inside and outside, thats where the volks will sit, then u can measure for spacers from that point (or measure for spacers off the stock wheels, and subtract .37" from ur desired spacer for the stock wheels)

I'm in the same predicament with Volk SE37K 18x7.5 +48 wheels. From what I read about spacers on this forum and others, spacers aren't necessarily more unsafe than low offset wheels except for the possibility/risk of the additional nuts being mis-torqued and maybe coming loose if you screw up putting them on. Just need to check them initially and periodically. An additional risk is if spacers are used without new studs not allowing for sufficient turns (i believe you need at least 5-7 full turns of the nuts before tightening). The added weight of spacers are on the hub on the center so NBD compared to weight added to the edge of the wheel. For me I've settled on 15mm for front and 25mm for rear. These with the 7.5" wide wheels and +48 offset will get us within ~5mm (suck) of perfect flush with a 1" drop. I do want a flush look, but I don't really want to poke and start to mess with the car's excellent aerodynamics too much. I've decided to go for Ichiba V2 spacers even though I've heard H&R are higher quality. I also considered going for some no-brand spacers on eBay for 1/2 the costs of the Ichibas, but decided not to do that. The eBay ones should work since they are hub centric and made for Subarus 5x100 56.1mm hub, but I didn't want to take the risk. I hope this info helps.

the 5mm spacer was just going to be used for gauging how much further i could go.

Right, i think thats what he meant by "additional nuts"... Ha, that sounds bad out of context. From now on instead of "sausage party" im gonna call them "additional nut parties" haha

Just fyi, im 99% sure a 5mm spacer will not be available to you in a bolt on, but simply a slip on spacer, though 5mm should be fine, thats what i bought in case my fronts ever rub, but i have not had to put them on.

Just be prepared for people to "hate on" ur setup a little as spacing the rears out will probably "ruin your scrub radius" or "destroy the cars ability to handle" or whatever else... I dont recall you asking about this fitment for track duty, so i didnt mention anything along those lines
