Tax
The Norwegian government gets loads of money on car taxes.
So any car is expencive. They make you pay extra tax for a car's weight, the car's effect, and also for CO2 emissions. You might think since the government gets so much money from car taxes Norway has to have an awesome roadsystem. In fact I think we have some of the worst roads in the world, all bumpy and crappy which actually ruins your car over time, which leads to more money out to keep your car in a decent state. An Audi S5 costs 1.100.000,- NOK As standard, without ANY additional equipment of any kind. 190k$. Due to these taxes, Norway has almost the oldest car park in Europe. And yes, I know my example here is a "upper range" car probably, atleast it is in Norway, since an S5 is not something you see everyday, due to taxes. Audi A5 1.8 TFSI 170hk standard = 75k$. These taxes dont make sense, since people drive old car which means more emissions. Also older cars are not as safe as new cars. And these taxes make people buy cars with the smallest engines. Which means no fun for us enthusiasts. Sorry for bad grammar etcetcetc. Some people earn a lot of money, but thats the minority. Most average. And average means that you wont be able to buy a car that has more than a decent engine. |

HIDS standard on both the Limited and Premium models...according to insideline.com.
http://www.insideline.com/subaru/brz...rst-drive.html It's Easy To Overlook the Rest of the Car With hardly enough time to get a sense of the BRZ on the track, we barely even notice the interior, mostly because it's a very straightforward setup with few options. There are two trim levels Premium and Limited and both get a fairly extensive list of features. There's a standard navigation system, Bluetooth, satellite radio, HID headlights and a limited slip on all Premium models, while the Limited adds leather seats with Alcantara trim, auto climate control, seat heaters, push-button start and the all-important foglights.

Honestly though, I wish the models were like what Ryephile has mentioned on this post:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...4&postcount=64 Ah well lol. I'll go with the slightly cheaper model for now though. |
