Different dyno different day, etc, you can't compare the two.
However if you really want to since both have baselines they are almost identical...+40hp and +20lb-ft. Right now all of the headers seem to be making good power with a tune including the Borla UEL header. I think the Nameless 4-2-1 will end up coming out on top if you can wait. I'd honestly just wait a little while longer for more dynos from 3rd parties, lots of people are buying headers right now. |

Same situation here also on my BRZ. 500 miles new. No upgrades and wanting to get rid of the dip. I think i am waiting to see what nameless and perrin are going to produce. Until then i may keep it stock or possibly put a perrin header back. Decisions.

I'm also assuming that they cannot get it to sound right because it will be a lot louder than all of the other headers out there as well. I mean, why else hold of on a header that everyone wants to pay you money for for almost a full year.

It looks like waiting it out sounds the best option. I think for header piping, 2.5 inch will be optimal for spirited daily driving. 3 inch will be a bit of a overkill and can hurt low end torque.

I'm very curious to see the other headers in person, hopefully we'll have a p&l here to put on the same exact dyno. I don't think the intake matters much. We've not seen any gains on the dyno with it. In regards to expansion joints/bellows/slip fit headers; ideally you wouldn't need them, but that length of stainless is long due to the flat 4 design. It may crack without them due to the long length of piping. How long it would take that may be is hard to say, and the p&l type may do fine over the long run depending on the tube size, weld quality, angles etc...I really don't think you can go wrong here (except the borla...wtf guys...) with any of the handmade ones with a good reputation should serve well. One could easily argue the length is not sufficient to warrant the bellows, but especially on the UEL types, you have a pretty long length going from the right side to the collector.
