. .. I have to say the Toyota universal fit is a strong attraction point, was tossing the setup convenience (T7019A) with the convenience of extra buttons (Tun21A).. and decided that the lifetime operational convenience of the extra buttons appeal more than the one off PIDA setup convenience.. ..Blue and Green leds equally evil.. though I am more inclined to green cos my HUD speedometer has red and green lights...
I can understand that - extra buttons being "radio" and "track forward" and "track back".

I do find the track forward and track back touch buttons on poweramp a little small so the buttons for that would be good. The music app it came with has better touch buttons but doesn't seem as good with music quality and playlists as poweramp. I'm yet to try cartunes.

I'm going with the Tun21A as well. The extra buttons and with a few others using the same unit made me more inclined to pick it. Ultimately it was the Toyota startup logo on a BRZ that decided it though lol
@Ghostmerlott, out of interest would you be able to take some photos of the bundle of the Tun21A? Just so that I know what I'm up for with the installation.

@2forme & all wise DIYers.... i have got a question, so to wire up the Tun21A.. I just connect these 3 together (Stock wiring harness from car <-> Beatsonic wiring harness <-> Tun21a wires), right?

Is there ANY other wiring up beside this? Ie. Ground to some ground pin… to stock amps…etc?? There is this funny looking wire labelled "Ignition - must connect"... what is this?!

The other thing… forgive the innocence… this might sound silly to …. we have 8 stock speakers as below… but the beatsonic wiring harness only caters for 4 (Right Front, Right Rear, Left Front, Left Rear)…. How then do we power up the rest???

1) Right Top Speaker
2) Right Top Tweeter
3) Right Door Speaker
4) Right Rear Speaker
5) Left Top Speaker
6) Left Top Tweeter
7) Left Door Speaker
8) Left Rear Speaker

As i understand it'll be a 3-way for your antenna adapter cable, TUN21A to the blue cable on the Beatsonic harness. Ignition should go to the red/accessory cable on the beatsonic.

Oh and the USB adaptor into the OEM USB harness and hub if you want to use your factory USB slot.

Not too sure bout the speaker wiring hence why I hoped you could post some pics, but I"m just assuming the stock harness does the splitting of signals to the relevant tweeter/speaker, with the standard Left,Right,Front,Rear into the beatsonic harness.

Cheers.. Nope, it doenst come with the unit, I just bought it from the same vendor to save on shipping.. reading through the net, the installation requires drilling.. not my territory..so best to leave it to real installers..

Just noticed ... wires coming out of the Tun21A don't have bullet connectors... need to go and get some and fix them out first before the wires can get connected to the beatsonic wiring harness... bummer =( one more extra step...

I must be blind at the time as this capacitive unit offers a selectable red or green illumination!!

I emailed the vendor and he indeed confirmed the red LED's!! Also Torque is confirmed to run perfect without having to root... (just install from Google Play and it works)

Photo 8/9 shows red LED's...

Full specs:

This is the one I am going to order...

As it will come from Italy, I won't have any extra import duties or taxes (inside EU), so the 699 euro is a decent price IMO.

Warn....as I live in Italy and I am Italian...I confirm you that probably about "Italy" there, there is only a front cover (design).
I cannot believe that in Italy is there nowaday, still, electronic farms.
Probably they are (the core) imported from Taiwan or South Korea and only customized here...(maybe..but outsourced 100%)
The price is similar to Monster of Art as Pioneer, JVC, Clarion and Kenwood....
US worth in USD is 912 (now). As italian I say F...K YOou

What's the largest HD you guys have hooked up to your Android based head unit? I'd love to be able to hook up a 500G 2.5" drive to this thing.

I'd be keen for that - just don't know how to hook it up. Just using USB and micro SD at the moment.

If someone knows how to hook up a bigger hard drive then I'm happy to try it out.

Off course the origin will be China (just like all the rest of them)... this is an 'italian' brand that probably picks out a chinese model, adapts it to their requirements and finally rebrands it on their Ekoore name.

Like somebody else already mentioned, the chinese producers are willing to meet customer requirements when they have a MOQ of 50 pieces. Ekoore will have met that MOQ demand, and is offering 'their' custom unit based upon a standard model.

Price is more expensive -agreed- but as so are the specs of the device. I don't care to pay more if in return I can have a device that 100% meets my demands. (capacitive, fast cpu, lots of internal memory, Torque compatible and red LED's.) When all these features come out of the box, this means I won't have to waste hours and hours trying to figure out how to root, experiment etc... in order to come close to what I am looking for. And after all that you'll still have blue or green LED's so your interior looks like a pinball machine from the '80s... (no offence to all the others as I would have made that compromise too if I didn't find this one...)

It seems like some of you are having a hard time with the fact that somewhere a vendor takes a margin on a product...
699 euro is still a lot less then the units like Pioneer, Alpine or Kenwood... and they offer far less functionality.

I guess that I am also getting tired of searching and dreaming to finally find some day my 'perfect unit' at 450usd... My patience is lowering and I would like to have a unit in my current car, not my next car in 3 years... So yes, I think I am at the point that I am willing to pay more and just have it today instead of in a few months.

I think I am gonna make the 'jump' on this one and hope all goes well... if it doesn't, then it will be a hard and more expensive lesson compared to a 550 usd unit (included taxes)...
