Although this i kinda already figured. I might just leave them permanently off. The blue clashes way too much.

It doesnt seem like it would be too difficult for the manufacturer to include color changing LED's like most head units have now. Oh well.

Thanks @Narcoden, that's a big read! Do you know if the internals of the Ouku are the same as the T7029A and/or the TUN21A?

I don't know for sure but I suspect they are all the same or mostly the same inside. I think (again only my gut feeling) they are just cosmetic differences and some have a capacitive screen.

The vendor I contacted (which asked for a min of 50 units), said the factory needed to replaced the entire PCB to do the colour change, so I guess they are pretty entrenched.

Just received my Tun21a and beatsonic kit... gonna see how it goes!

I agree 50 units isn't too many but with it requiring root (assuming they won't at factory) people will still be worried about bricking them. Only takes the factory to change the rom required a little and...

I think best to simply convince them of the big market for an orange LED version and get them to meet the market if possible.

It was a hard choice! Ranked right up there with choosing a life partner ..

I have to say the Toyota universal fit is a strong attraction point, was tossing the setup convenience (T7019A) with the convenience of extra buttons (Tun21A).. and decided that the lifetime operational convenience of the extra buttons appeal more than the one off PIDA setup convenience.. ..Blue and Green leds equally evil.. though I am more inclined to green cos my HUD speedometer has red and green lights...
