Frs is most balanced. People complain about lack of power...how will u get to truly push a cars limits if you rely on power to win the race?
I haven't had too many issues with 370z mechanical wise. I enjoy driving and racing my 2000 mustang. It still feels more nimble and less claustrophobic than the 370 and the newer mustangs. That being said, I'm buying an frs soon. Driven a lot of them and my buddy's all have one... And the frs is much more of a technical car. The mustang was great for being a mustang : wild horse. I think I would enjoy some fine precision driving now. |

What's good for rolling resistance can also be good for performance. Mainly light weight and large tread blocks with fewer grooves with no siping. |

Two close friends own Zs, a 300ZX and 350Z. I hear a lot of complaints of both lack of practicality and poor gas mileage. YMMV.

Gas mileage wise, if on highway it was okay. 23mpg. In traffic, around 16mpg. If in heavy traffic (which is very often here in Sydney Australia), the gas mileage was atrocious, borderline v8, 14mpg. That's why the FRS/BRZ is so much better than the 370z as a daily driver. |

OP- Everyone has a different definition of what a daily driven car needs. This is just one man's opinion:
I own a 370z as a weekend/fun car. I daily drive a mazda3. The 370z should really never be considered for daily driver duty (imo). It only has 2 seats obviously. I only get 19-22 mpg depending on how heavy my right foot is feeling that day. I ended up purchasing the Z after test driving an FR-S, 5.0 Mustang, STI, Cayman and MX-5 because it was the most fun to me personally. Practicality was literally at the very bottom of my list. I think the F-RS would be a nearly perfect blend of fun and practicality. If I could only have one car, I would have chosen the FR-S over all the cars I tested. I just wish there was some magic potion that could turn my daily mazda3 into an FR-S

owned all 3...and i loved the z, but 2 seats were inconvenient, loved the power of the boss but mileage sucks, love the mileage of the brz but backseats are useless (atleast i could put the dog back there) and power sucks, but its fun. all in all i would go back to the z in the next year lol...

What year Mazda3? I drive 2012 here. Do you happen to go to M3R?
I couldn't agree more. I wish I had waited until it came out. Right now the price gap between my depreciated Mazda3 and a new FR-S is too much... |
