I have them installed...just don't know how or where to tap into the wires... :/
I want to tap into the Parking lights & use the blue wire so they can be high or low. Don't know where though??? Also I was wondering if they are high power and then low power when the headlights are on or the other way?? |

as for the blue wire, this wire enables the high low function these have. they will be high power when you turn on your parking lights however when you turn on your headlights it will switch to low. To do this you tap the blue wire into the power wire of the headlight.

I get that when you connect the blue to the headlight that it dims when the headlights are on. But do they come back to full power with the headlights on high beam?
I want to get rid of the cross-eyed look of the DRL's by turning them off at the ECU, which should leave the high-beam functionality in place. Here's what I'm shooting for.... Parking Lights = LED-High Low beams = Low beam headlight + LED-Low Power (DRL's off) High beams = Low beam headlight + LED-High Power + DRL-High Power |

I dont think its possible for it to transfer back to high just by turning on the high beams. Someone else more informed on wiring may be able to figure it out but the way its presented currently does not allow that option.

Thanks for the quick response! I'll see if I can find the schematics and post it up if I figure it out.

I saw a video of someone with these installed with Switchbacks installed too and it looked like they might have wired it to their Parking Lights as well because when the turn signal turned on the DRL was blinking out of sync with the Amber. Which looked odd to me. Can anyone confirm or deny this? |

So I can't find it but I am thinking it was set up with the power to the parking light wire and the blue to the turn signal wire. Which would be stupid and cause the both DRLs to dim when the turn signals were on.

I tapped it to the "running" wire of the parking lights. I've had it for several months now, no issues with dimming lights or blinking when signal is switched on. And i think the DRL dimming issue only exist if you have LED switchbacks due to its low current draw. Which to me kind of defeat the purpose of these DRLs if u already have switchbacks.

I always drive with my headlights on and want the LED DRLs to stay on high power all the time. So I'm thinking that the side marker is the best tap source and just want to confirm that the red wire from the kit should be connected to the white wire from the side marker and the black wire connected to any metal body part?

I bought an interior switch separately and will wire the whole thing by tapping into the power mirror connector in the fuse box right behind the driver dash where the interior dimming light botton and trunk release is. Had to buy some extra wire but now I can completely turn the led lights off if I want. I connected the blue wire to the "dash dimmer switch" in the fuse box (also in same area). That way when you flip the headlights on, the dash will dim accordingly and the led dlr's will switch to low power just as the original install called for. I will try to write up a DIY and add pictures for reference.

Reviving an old thread, but if I want these to be on high power at all times, I only need to connect the red wire right? Is there a ground wire somewhere I still need to connect?

Also, where did you get the overlays for the LED's? I'll probably want to go stealth with mine as well.
