I couldn't find how you tapped into the cigarette lighter so I just tapped into my parking lights. a lot easier in my opinion and I can go stealth when I want to. I appreciate the DIY though, helped me a lot

The cigarette outlet had a white wire coming out of it. When you look up there you should be able to see it. Ill update the diy to state that.

Then wouldnt it only turn on when you turn on your stereo?

I could be wrong though.

I dont know for sure, i have never tried. you can always tap into it and let us know. Then again it may be hard to run wire that far. You may have to purchase extra wire.

Thanks for the DIY! I followed everything except I actually went with what Tylub did and tapped to the parking light wire. Works like a charm, and gives the option that I can turn it on or off.

SOrry bad ipod cam. :P

Connecting the DRL to your parking lights....

Gentlemen,

When you chose the route of connecting these LED DRLs to your Parking lights, do you still have to use the LED Control Module that comes with the kit? Appreciate your help!

Yep, LEDs wont light up with out the LED Control Module aka "LED Driver." I used everything that came in the kit except for the extra T taps and Zip ties. Good luck!

LED DRLs successfully installed.

Thanks to F-T and all the helpful suggestions. I am very happy with the new DRL lights. I simply tapped the power from the turn-signal light and it worked out very well. I like their brightness a lot.

Can someone tell me where the red wire from the LED's connects to, to use the stalk for your switch? I'd like to just connect it to on of the wires running from the headlights. Essentially is there a way to avoid running the final red wire into the car?
