yes and yes.. I'd rather keep track myself as I've always done though. Just using the app to make it easier.

With the FuelLog app, I can make notes on each fill-up.. like track the % of Ethanol of a particular gas station and compare it with another station (once I get my Flex fuel kit wired up).

Besides that, the built-in MPG guage can't compare my mpg's for this month (modded exhaust) with those from the same month a year ago (stock exhaust).. for those of us who like to track those things.

I just tried out the Mileage app because the free version of FuelLog doesn't let me add notes. The interface between the two is VERY similar, but I went back to FuelLog because I like the layout of the data on FuelLog much better.

I use Fuelly (as you can tell by my signature), but the FuelLog app looks pretty cool. I do like the different colors so you can see how well you are doing at a quick glance.

I was all excited when I installed fuellog and tried it for a few tanks... then when I realized how much it costs to run a car these days I stopped using it! I don't think I wanna know. I'll just use the computer in the car for my mileage which is improving steadily now that I am around 5,000kms on the car. (I do 850-1000kms a week commuting)

There is a great apple app called "Remember the oil", which can be used to track refueling and maintenance schedule. Not free but well worth $2.00.

I personally use fuelly. It's easy during fillups because I simply text message my trip meter, price for gas, and # of gallons I purchased, and it calculates my gas mileage and automatically uploads it to the website for me. Been using it for all of my cars for a while now and have never had a complaint.

I use "car maintenance reminder pro" it does all the calculations and graphs for mileage but also tracks oil changes, brakes, tire rotations, filters, etc. It's a good way to avoid the little sticker in the window for oil changes.
