Mileage Tracker App for Android?

I was thinking I should stop doing this manually and use the smartphone

Is there a consensus on a good free app to track mileage?

What are you looking for exactly? Are you trying to track your MPGs or how far/where you've gone?

I haven't used it myself, but a lot of people on here use an app called fuelly. If you're trying to track where you've been, I know on Android there's a My Tracks app.

Just want to track MPG, nothing more. So I suppose the more simple the better.

I see a lot of members here use Fuelly. I, myself, use an app called FuelLog. Works great for tracking MPG. Prior to that, I used to manually divide the miles from the trip meter by the number of gallons filled. Realized it was a waste of time when there's probably an app that does that. And there is.

I use FuelLog. Primarily tracks milage and how much you spent, can also be used to track maintenance and other car related expenses.

Fuelly requires an internet connection so that's a downside in my opinion, upside is if your phone decides to stop working (like mine) it's backed up somewhere.

I used this one:

Dead simple, worked 99% of the time (occasional freezes on the stats screen) and you can export the data to an excel file and back it up on drop box/drive or put it on your computer or something.

Yeah its called "Mileage". https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...51bGwsMSwyLDNd

Great for tracking mileage, mpg, fuel cost monthly/annually, all kinds of statistics.

Been using this for a few years and love it. You can track multiple vehicles with it too!!.

Edit: just realized I linked the same app as strat61caster

+1 for the FuelLog app.. I don't even use any of its other features, just simply for tracking MPG's.. I love how small the text is on there too.. big enough to read, but small to cram as much info in one block as possible.

The other feature I like is that at a glance, based on the color of the output MPG, you can see if you have been performing above or below your personal average based on the color. :D

I like using FuelLog. A free app for Android. Lots of good stats.

Totally agree, that colored MPG is awesome!

Thanks all for the feedback - there were a ton of apps out there, just wanted to see if there were some favorites. Looks like FuelLog and Mileage are pretty similar, we'll give one a try

You know the car itself has an avg. mpg calculation built in right?
