Yep, all seem to. The only one that didn't after the root was the Navi button as Sygic needed to be reinstalled from the apk file and then I had to set up the setting that sets what app you are using for Navigation.

Once done that all works too. So front buttons now perfect.

Congratz man!! Looks awesome with the gauges and I'm really glad all controls are functional. If you get the time, I'd love to see a shot with the LEDs on. I'm sure it isn't really that bad and, like you, I doubt I'd have the patience to DIY them.

Got one of these dongles http://www.trademe.co.nz/computers/c...-587671830.htm

And look what I have on my dash now - gauges incl oil temp. At the moment I'm using my HKS OB-LINK from the OBD@ port with the carscope app but I'm 99.999% it will work with an ELM327 and torque. Just need to wait for my ELM327 to test.

Can also play music and have gauges at the same time as this Bluetooth dongle will work with my USB stick plugged into my cheap USB hub.

I'm so happy!

I'd like to thank the academy... actually @2forme, @Narcoden, @sav, @Ghostmerlott and @ph0en1xtk for their help and encouragement. Special big shout out to @2forme who has been very patient with this car stereo and android virgin and of course supplied the most valuable root files and @Narcoden who with a couple of sentences gave me the encouragement I need to try the install myself.

Sorry about the quality of the photo but it is dark here at the moment and was pretty excited to report this back!

Old photo showing fitment - perfect with stock mount and bezel, no alterations required
Looks absolutely perfect man, congratulations for taking the plunge and doing the install. Also mad jealous of your hvac controls with that unit. Some day this is what i want my setup to look like (just with red leds) Cheers mate! :happy0180:

Do a BRZ climate controls swap :-p

I'll try and pull the face off my resistive ca-fi unit to see what kind of LEDs are used.

Do eet! I can solder, but I have the worlds worst unsteady hands. Got a friend who's an electrical engineer. Maybe I'll make him do it.

Fantastic thanks. The DIY posted had an impossible number on the actual board. If we're lucky there might be three or four bigger LEDs lighting the whole thing.

I'll get you a photo but for what I've managed to get with the unit I don't mind putting up with the green LEDs.

..if leds are SMD is not so easy to manage soldering them, but I think with some patience is possible to realize a good job. I'll wait my scobbyblue and HU to accommodate them.

once someone figures out how to get the wiring to work with the FR-S while at least maintaing normal functionality, not necessarily dual zone, ill be hopping on that swap immediately!

From what I can tell with the flash the green doesn't look all that offensive. Thanks for posting it!

@Jeff86 it isn't too offensive but is a bit brighter than it appears in the photo.

As far as I can tell this is a universal double DIN size unit (178 L x 167 W x 100 H)... what makes this a 'Toyota fitment' as you stated before?
