How does the 17x9 +45 work with a bbk? Mainly the sti Brembo swap?

The 8 inch RPF1s have more room than the 9s. There are plenty of threads with pics of clearance. I've largely ignored them all as I'm not changing the brakes. Search. The info is there!

With lowering and some camber it now looks like it is supposed to be there.
you can't make the +45 look like it fits, spacers will only make it look worse.
just get the 17x8 +45, at least for the front.
you should make a thread of your build with more pics. need more!!!

17x8 +45 is pretty close to flush up front on stock suspension and stock camber. I haven't measured, but it looks good. Rear could use about 10mm.

That would look good. I am a fan of staggered setup, had it in a previous car. However, I am going for a square setup because I am taking it to the track and want to be able to swap front and back wheels.

Also in reply to others on thread, BBK clearance, see this post and the rest of the thread it is from

fair enough, but i'd just put the std wheels on for track use.. put the shorter living track tires on them
the 8s will look good , they just won't look quite as good as the 9s with their dish!

Precisely, that and folks don't know what they're missing for improved handling and control by having some (-) camber up front. Having none like stock is actually well... terrible in comparison.

plenty of room!
you're on coilovers, clearance isn't an issue with coils, STOCK struts is where it matters.

What's the downside of getting +35 and not adjusting the camber to bring em back in? At the moment, I'm running stock suspension and no plans to change that soon. Other than the poke look and change in drag, are there any other problems? Is there a huge risk of rubbing the fenders at stock suspension?

I saw supersonic's link to djjd42's thread. Has anyone run 255 with 17x9 +35?

Thanks in advance.

The downside is appearance. It sticks out a bit too far in the fronts and some people don't like that. Otherwise everything clears fine with 245/40/17 tires. I would be hesitant to use 255 tires on stock suspension as there is already very little room to work with on 245s.
