Roof is steel, but extremely thin steel. Hood is aluminum.
Tapped from my Note 2

Damn, less than I thought it would cost. Did you have any damage anywhere else? Pretty much every metal panel is dented on my car, the door/window trim pieces got cracked and busted, and I think it chipped my headlight a little. Didn't damage the spoiler or front bumper though, the two things I wanted to get rid of, lol. |

No, I haven't taken it anywhere yet. Where is that at? Above all I want it done right. I expect the car to come back to me and not be able to tell anything happened. I'll probably have a body kit painted and put on at the same time too, lol.

Wow, that's terrible. My Eclipse has been thru several fairly large hailstorms the past 8 years and I've never seen any dents on it. Do they just not make cars as strong as they used to or have I still not experienced bad enough hail? I mean... that's a serious consideration for me as my car will often be outside. I'll have to constantly worry about it being covered before a storm.

I feel for you.. That totally sucks..
I used to live in Texas.. Had a hail storm come thru that turned My white Honda civic at the time into what looked like a golf ball.. I heard you can leave the car in the sun.. Then use some dry ice and some dents will pop back out.. I never tried it.. But hopefully they can do the paintless repair on it.. Good luck... |

Luckily I only had to pay my deductible - the damage was well over $2k.
