@nzer would be able to confirm that once he receives it in next couple of days..

we were actually curious on why the 30$ markup over the tun21a given that the specs are exactly the same!

The TUN21A has a 6.2" lcd screen, the T7019A has a 6.5" lcd screen, thats why I was under the impression it would be a perfect fit, that's probably where rhe 30$ mark up kicks, also housing may cost a little more to manufacture.

The photo on the website showed green LED's on the one I've bought but it turned out to be blue.

Let me clear a few things up.

The TUN21A is a universal fit. Requires the beat sonic kit to fit correctly (though I might just buy a 3D printer and make my own haha). It also has a capacitive screen and blue LEDs.

The other is a 200mm wide toyota fit head unit...HOWEVER you will need to modify the bezel of it to get your dash bezel to fit. The dash bezel won't snap in completely on the bottom because it hits part of the radio bezel. This is all behind the dash, nothing you actually see needs to be modified. It also has a plug and play harness for using the internal amp on the speakers. You still need to run RCAs for a external amps. You still need the antenna adapter. It has green LEDs. It is also a resistive touch screen.

Hope this clarifies everything.

@2forme - are you sure about modifying the bezel? I've bought a 200mm wide one from Trade Solution and got it to fit perfectly without modifying the bezel. The trick was to drill the OEM metal plate out a bit to give it more room for adjustment. The radio had to go a little bit further back and angle down a bit more else it would catch at the top.

Also, if you're buying a universal unit I would suggest the GT86 specific kit from connects2

Yea I got it to fit, but my point is that it's not a simple drop in. Some modification is necessary.

Agreed, just don't modify the radio itself.

The "plug and play harness for using the internal amp"... are you referring to the wiring harness? Does the Tun21A come with the wiring harness too? If thats the case, I will skip the wiring harness purchase...

The TUN21A comes with a universal harness for the radio only. You still have to get a kit to use your OEM harness that's in the dash and wire the two together.

The other one has a harness that just clips into the stock harness, no wiring necessary except for external amps and the antenna power.

That explains the 30$ premium !

Beatsonic wiring harness + dash kit will come to around that $$. So the two will come to around the same price in total cost.. So its whether u prefer blue or green leds... and the comfort level of connecting wires from the unit to the car. Personally I find the tun21a having more buttons might be useful..

If you go look at the specs of the T7019A, under the screen dimension it says that it is indeed a Capacitive.. Don't know where you seen resistive?
