Well WRC blue is well that Iconic Subaru blue from it's rally cars,(BRZ has WRCII blue as announced when they showed it's STI, I can't tell the diff between one and two) it has to be there for marketing and pride purposes I suppose. Like Honda had two whites for their type R series and S2000 series because White is there Racing color. The darker Blue is if it's Plasma Blue is usually for Subaru's STI cars only. But 2012 WRX normal has Plasma too. So I guess it's just Pedigree, because if I recall... Subaru always offered 2 blues ( the other is the one on the 86)but there was a year or two they didn't offer WRC rally blue on their WRX series.

I think it was 2006 they didn't offer a blue at all on their STI I seem to recall those were only white black and silver. I might be wrong. @@

I think it's offering for people who want that Pedigree and heritage color, and a people who want the model specific color. Plasma is a gorgeous color, I wonder if it's hard to maintain.

Honda has a lot of whites. At least 6 that I can think of off the top of my head.

Only one was related directly to racing and it only went onto the Type-R cars

It's not too uncommon for cars to have more than one shade of a color. Heck the S2000 did so with both blue and silver.

Yup, ya thought wrong. Blue has been there for all the US STI.

That's my prediction for the 7 colors, I hope that's accurate crossing my fingers for plasma blue. I also hope SCION is using their own colors and not the Subaru just because I want some differences. But for sure they don't have Plasma and WRCII

It's the one shown on the BRZ sti in LA but I think it's on the one in TMS too, they say it's new but I can't tell the diff between that and the current WRB Blue in the current WRX. Let me get a comparison picture up in a sec here.
