Here we go
This the performance of our cars after reinstalling the upgraded blower. All Map 3 Here are some notable differences between the cars Pete and I have the borla header Chris has no header but catless and unresonated headerback Pete has stock wheels but Michelin PSS tyres I have 245 V1 Star Specs on Weds Chris has some Bridgestone tyres on 8" wheels I was the only one running 5W30 in this run. ![]() 20130419-HoustonVortechUpgradePerformance by VictorN07, on Flickr To show the difference between the old blower and new blower in my car Just more power everywhere. Old run had 0W20, new run has 5W30 if that matters. ![]() 20130419-VictorVortechUpgradeComparison-001 by VictorN07, on Flickr

That's an increase of 30 ft lbs peak!!! Yum. This is great! Very consistent results!
There is one notable issue: the HP increase should be bigger than torque. From what I can see there is something pulling it back in the upper revs which is preventing it from making that HP. The difference in peak HP is not as big (20 whp) due to something going on in the upper rpms. This may be necessary as this compressor is running higher boost. On a high compression motor I am betting the tune up top has to be more conservative. Who ever did the tune for these cars can you comment on whether or not a fair bit of timing has to be pulled in the upper rpms or is the torque decrease due to something else entirely? |

Wow the compressor upgrade sure improved results a lot!
I'm intrigued that there isn't any perceivable difference on the chart between aftermarket header and stock. I would have expected a bit more out of the two with headers. On the other hand the consistency of the three cars dyno plots is nice to see. Thanks for the update F1point4 |

There is a torque fall-off. This is typical of a SC due to parasitic and pumping losses. With a fixed formula (hp=torque*rpm/5252) there is no other explanation. Since all plots cross at 5252 rpm they are correct.

The new blower is great, I really don't want to add any more power to this car. On the conservative map 1 with the new blower I made 238 WHP, and that is the setting I drive on 99% of the time. That feels to me like it has plenty of power, this is now the fastest car I have ever owned. (the GTR owners are laughing at me right now) |

Mind sharing what settings/sensors you used to show boost? I haven't been able to make anything say 10 psi. Thanks mate

Kind of new to the app and just borrowed f1point4s adaptor.
Boost should show the same as this minus 14.7, no? Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2 |

If I understood the question correctly, you have to convert it. If we were talking about it showing absolute pressure (And in psi) then yes, you subtract 14.7 psi and that's it. This also works for Bar untis, if its absolute you subtract one Bar. Go here: http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/pr...ter-d_569.html 21 in/Hg are roughly 10.3 psi.

Skatery's Vortech centrifugal The fall off in torque in this case is due to timing being pulled up top to prevent det. |

Was working on the car today, but not related to more power. Here are some more pics of a naked car for those who want to look at the kit
