Anything over $40k drive away is too much.

Totally agree with price if it was built in Korea.

If they bring it out looking like the Scion version I'm going to slap the toyota rep. I was shocked when i saw what they did to all the centre console switches...massive let down i reckon. Man I hope we dont get shafted like that. Been looking forward to this thing for so long...fek!

I'm hoping that if I hold off on buying straight away they might bring out the low interest finance on this baby... fk all chance of that happening but heres to wishing!!

I'm also worried that after a year, a boosted version will be released...then I'll burst a bearing....

300hp/400hp N/A version? assuming only the engine is changed but everything else (inc handling etc) remains the same..... probably an extra 10-15k for the 300hp version and I don't think I could afford the 400hp version haha

TBH I don't see what the big fuss is about the Scion centre console, or even the tail lights on the JDM 86. They're not perfect but I don't see a problem with them. Everyone's being drama llamas in my opinion, lol.

This car is so much more than looks.

further from the information in this thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3120

it feels like base (JDM G) will be at least $36k + orc and top (JDM GT Limited) will be $42k + ORC.

i used the figures for FJ Criuser to make my estimates. (3.24M yen/$44k AUD)

but who knows what spec we are gonna get.

Wonder what specs we will get?

We know Subaru is only bring one spec over. Lets hope Toyota Aus bring more 86 specs over. We wont get G spec cause on Aus website says comes stock with LSD and the rumor is that the G spec doesn't have LSD.

iirc JDM low spec has LSD for manual but not auto. high spec manual/auto both have LSD.

so i'd assume G spec is the low spec and GT spec is the high spec. GT Limited is GT with suede/leather seats and rear boot spoiler according to the earlier leaked information.

i hope Toyota brings both low and high spec (HID/LED, climate control & Smart key) with an optional luxury pack same as GT Limited.

in which case, i'll buy the high spec.

Def getting white!!! Def getting TRD boot

And then save to get the rest of the TRD kit.

Not 100% on which wheels but most likely
