You would be correct. Take the intake manifold for instance; GD chassis Imprezas used a cast aluminum manifold while the GR chassis moved to a composite manifold. Testing on the composite manifolds showed not only lower heat soak, but also better airflow due to no presence of casting imperfections. Granted the manifold sits on the block and those were terb0 engines producing much more heat, the principle remains the same.

[QUOTE=Hanakuso;875500]I get your point but just to clear things up, there is nothing about this TRD intake that is JDM
Yes, you are correct, sorry for my poor information. I ment it more as a purist point of view. As is only factory made aftermarket parts. Besides the muscle cars doing this, JDM crowd is the next biggest example. Flowing from body parts to performance options. -Alex

Mugen for Honda/Acura NISMO for Nissan/Infiniti TRD for Toyota/Scion/Lexus Mazdaspeed for Mazda Before any of those came along there was; Mopar Performance - Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth GM Performance - Chevy/Pontiac/GMC Ford Motorsports - Ford/Lincoln These performance division parts have been always more expensive than other parts from Edelbrock, MSD, Crane, Accel, TRW, ect... but that doesn't deter many people from strict adherence to those parts for reasons as diverse as the people that install them. While I don't like to limit myself when it comes to cars, I can still relate. When it comes to my pants, I am 100% a label whore too!:happy0180: Scott

You also have to remember with OEM aftermarket arms, they will always have a leg up on other companies because they're provided exact specifications by Toyota. While all companies no doubt do plenty of testing, having access to information that would otherwise be under nondisclosure ensures that what parts they develop is exact to spec

Just wondering, do SS brakelines reduce chances of brake fluid from splattering? Meaning, when I took a drive through the twisties a few hours, by the end of it I noticed traces of brake fluid on my wheels and along my doors. Same happened on other cars I've driven spiritedly but not under normal everyday driving. Or is that unavoidable?

My intuition is that it is not brake fluid. But if it is, take it in ASAP. |

I will be offering a FREE Dyno Pulls with Stock Intake vs TRD Intake to the first person in Florida who is willing to buy one from us and we will do the Dyno runs on our Dyno Jet.
Let me know who would like this offer. This is open to anyone who willing to drive down to purchase the intake and we will do the Dyno Pulls for the customer for FREE. I would like the car to 100% stock to show before and after #'s |
