Seriously think I didn't check the other side? Wow thanks for the credibility...

And with that I guess I wont need to make any comments in this thread.

Maybe someone else could please verify, but I think there is some +/- in the exact accuracy.

My low fuel light came on at 2.4 Gal (or at least when I noticed it) on the road. So I pulled into a gas station and put in 10.8 Gal. The new reading on Torque was 12.5 Gal! 2.4+10.8=13.2, not 12.5. So it may be accurate to within a Gal. Can anyone confirm the accuracy.
The max number seems to be 12.5 gallons for whatever reason.. but not a big deal to me really.. it still reads accurately for anything below that.

On the subject of accuracy close to running empty, I've noticed (on several fillups the past 3 months), that it's accurate ONLY if you're not driving hard. If I'm cruising on the hwy, it'll be very accurate down to 0.5 gallons.. below that, you're on your own.

On a few occasions, I've tried to run my as empty as possible (before filling up with E85), and found the app to be less accurate the more I drove hard (revving to redline in 1st & 2nd, etc.).. HOWEVER, if you're in a position to be able to turn your car off and start it up again (close & re-open Torque app too), it will get a more accurate reading. But like I said, anything around ~0.5 gallons or below won't be useful anymore.

Thanks for the feedback.

I did some looking into and found out the gas that is in the funnel between the cap and the tank, which maybe a couple of feet and partially full of gas will not be read with the tank. So if I get half a gallon in the tube, when filled to the top, it wont register .

I'll keep it in the back of my mind to allow half a gallon for tolerance when I'm on the track. I wonder if slushing around in the tank sideways or forward/backward is why the accuracy goes down.

But still half a gallon is a lot better accuracy than where I was before all this!

I've been running with the Torque app running for the past week or so. These are my quick observations.

* the intake temps run mostly in the 70's. seen it in the 60's and 80's too though

* the trans temp and the coolant temp seems to be exactly the same. Could it be the same exact sensor measuring these temps? They are always identical.

* I have yet to do any major bumper to bumper city driving, but the oil temps have not gone above mid 190's F.

I'll contiue to monitor and see what I can see and post back.

Apparently, there is no transmission temp sensor.. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...650#post763650

I got a V1.5 Super Mini ELM327 OBD2 OBD-II Bluetooth CAN-BUS Auto Diagnostic Tool for another car and find it really slow to update even after you play with the config in the app. Almost to the point that it is basically useless for live data due to the BT streaming.

So now I'm noticing that the intake temps vary a lot. I've now seen intake temps in the 90's, and I've even seen it in the 110's, and the engine oil temp reach 215 F. I wasn't even in dumper to dumper traffic. I can't say I yet know what I'm seeing, but I can say that these temps seem to vary by a wide range. I'll keep monitoring.

Which android are you using? The updates were very slow on my Samsung Sidekick, after I bought a Samsung SIII for my wife the refresh rate is fast now almost real time(0.1 second delay).

It happens sometimes when you are using Torque and a BT adapter and keep torque running while the car is turned off and then restarted in a short period of time. I run into it when stopping at a gas station to run in and buy something or even pumping gas sometimes. Just clear it. If you exit torque it won't happen.

That's exactly what happened! Glad to know it's nothing.

I get this from time to time with the OBD adapter plugged in while I start the car. It's no big deal.
