I was mainly trolling, as I'm interested in this intake.

When I'm 71 I hope I'm still buying sports cars and hauling ass. Props to you sir!... and thank you for your impressions on the intake

I'm about to get sold for this intake over the other aftermarket intakes out there. I still recommend Perrin LCP for low end gains.

Regretably, you'll have to reinstall the snorkel. TRD tried to engineer the item for an easy, rapid and effective install.

I wonder if this would help the TRD CAI even more...

Its not really a restriction for basic N/A power levels. If you leave it off you'll just end up with a very warm intake and high intake temps.

TRD CAI Flow Volume Measurement?

If an intake is actually passing a higher volume of air, wouldn't it be logical to expect to see the gas milage take a proportionate hit? If the MAF is seeing more air, I expect the ECU to provide more gasoline to maintain the ideal fuel / air mix. Not an "instant" result by any means. I've been averaging 26.6 mpg over the first 5000 miles. I expect lower numbers over the next couple of thousand miles or so. Lots of variables when dealing with mpg; seasonality, type of miles driven, etc. Still, I'm expecting to note a drop in milage with the new intake.

I'm still averaging 28+ with my Perrin CAI. It matters more on who's pressing the gas pedal more than the intake.

I'm getting 30+mpg on on tankfuls I've driven more conservatively. An intake isn't going to feed the engine more air, just reduce parasitic drag.

Motor trend did a review of this and exhaust at the same time this month. Said that it was a great sound provided by both but it wasn't a noticeable gain in power.
